FINALLY...! Got my preloaders to work between each menu, all thats left are the sounds and information.

Today i got my buttons to work, so now i am able to navigate from one menu to the other.

All thats left is Audio and Information, oh yea and that Capstone iv yet to do.

Today i created my intro which are pannles that slide back, then present the Main Menu.

Also did some organizing amoung my files.

Today i continued minimizing file sizes. Also iv been looking into how im going to connect my 4 menus together.

Today i had went through my menu's to try to reduce their size a little. I need to make them small enough to be web usable. Im just taking larger res. pictures into photoshop and reducing them to around 500X500px.

This weekend i started on my Resume menu. The earth shadow moves around like the sun is circling it. Then a bar moves out, and the paper rolls down. The resume words will then fade in on the paper to read them.

Today i added the sun and saturn which are both animated. I am next going to add a comet shooting from bottom right to top left.

Today i started on my Summary sections of my IR. It will start with a peice of paper that shoots from earth. In the background will be shooting stars and saturn revolving.

I finished my preloader artwork and animation. Yet i still need to complete the code for it.

*yesterday i didnt blog bc blogspot.com was blocked for a good period of time. I just went through a different trial for my preloader.

Summary

Hello my name is Zach Ulrich and I’m a senior at the South-Western Career Academy. I’m a very imaginative and creative student who loves color and creating new things. I like to bring people into my thoughts, by expressing it through drawing, photography and Graphic Design. Every day I try to find new ways to perfect my style by observing others and learning from them. I’m very color based; I believe colors add the initial feel for an image. When I create a new piece of art I always try to create it so I might know how one other would judge it.

Most of my life I’ve been interested in two main things; art and computers. When I started to realize my interest in psychology, I really started asking the question, why does art give a certain feel and how does the human mind react to it? The desire to know that has motivated me to actually understand what I’m designing. Junior year I decided to leave my “home” high school in pursuit of finding a passion that would utilize all my interests together. In my class, Interactive Media Design, we dip into every part of media and design based areas. My junior year I learned the basics of application such as Photoshop, Flash, 3DS Max, and Audition. While also learning basics in photography and video production; it allows us to find what we like best. The first time I used Photoshop I fell in love with it and have been developing that skill passionately ever since. I try to teach myself concepts of design, about using colors, balancing, and contrast. I want to be a Graphic Designer and design Advertising Art to share my creativity and sense of originality with the world.

Today i was able to get all the seasons functioning. The snow i made to fall was created by animation, and tweening. I had gave up on the code snow, just was easier for me to create it my way and still turned out decent.
